White Belt. (Beginner)
(10th Kup) - A White Belt signifies innocence, a beginning student who has no previous knowledge of Taekwon-Do. It is a form of rank as for over time as you train/ progress and pass "gradings" your rank and belt changes in colour. As a white belt there are many techniques to learn but there are two requirements that prepare you for "Patterns". Patterns require a number of various moves/steps that must be memorized and each belt has a pattern attached to it. Below is every pattern students must learn from white belt to red with black tip.
SAJU JIRUGI
Four Directional Punching
(saju jirugi), is the name of a basic exercise used at the white belt level.
SAJU MAKGI
Four Directional Blocking
( saju makgi) is the name of a basic exercise used at the white belt level.
CHON JI
The Heaven and the Earth
Two part pattern. One part of the pattern represents heaven, the other earth..
DO SAN
Patriot An Ch'ang-Ho
